Meet the Instructor

Robin Kean, B.A.M., B.B.A., R.V.T.

Robin is an Instructor of the Veterinary Assistant Program. She graduated from Acadia University with a Bachelor
of Arts in Music and a degree in Business Administration. She received a diploma in Animal Health Technology
at Olds College in Alberta. She is currently working on a Certificate in Canine Rehabilitation at the University of Tennessee. Robin has 10 years’ experience in the animal care field, 7 of which were in a small animal clinic. Before entering this industry, she spent 3 years teaching English as a second language in Korea and traveling Asia. Robin has an interest in animal rescue and conservation.  This passion has taken her to such places as Costa Rica, where she volunteered protecting the Leatherback turtle. She is dedicated to rescuing unwanted hunting beagles and initiated the Nova Scotia Chapter of the Canadian Rescue, Beagle Paws. Robin spends most of her free time acting
as the Adoption Coordinator of this organization and spreading awareness.
